After learning of the death of her estranged brother, writer Riko travels to Tohoku to clear out the chaotic apartment he left behind. Accompanied by his ex-wife and children, she spends four difficult days surrounded by memories, unfinished business, and long-standing resentment. Gradually, the brother she thought she knew becomes harder to define in this poignant tale of family, grief and forgiveness.
