Koji Usami, a taxi driver, is hired to take 85-year-old Sumire Takano from Tokyo to a nursing home in Kanagawa. En route, she requests a series of detours through places from her past. As memories of war, hardship, and resilience gradually emerge, a quiet connection forms between the two strangers sharing this long journey.
