Maria Hadi had spent her life tied to black magic, but towards the end of her life, she sought forgiveness. The problem is that, in Malay folklore, her polong (a spirit servant) must be passed on, and it lands with the wrong person. After Maria's death, the creature seeks revenge, apparently even cursed inheritances come with attitude.
