The President's Cake (2025)

In 1990s Iraq, nine-year-old Lamia is given one terrifying school assignment: bake the President's birthday cake. Finding the ingredients is hard enough, but failing is not really an option when fear runs the whole system. A child's errand turns into a sharp little drama about power, survival, and the absurd cruelty of forced loyalty.
