"Sedekad Seni Merakyat" is a collection of essays in Malay by 15 local writers, consisting of activists, academics, art practitioners and enthusiasts, documenting the activities, ideology and values of the Pangrok Sulap collective in the fields of art and activism over a period of ten years.

Pangrok Sulap is a Malaysian collective of artists, musicians and social activists whose mission is to empower rural and marginalised communities through the arts. "Pangrok" is the local pronunciation of "punk rock" and "sulap" is a hut or resting place commonly used by farmers in Sabah, Borneo.
