Movie Night at Ruang Tamu: Incantation (2022)
Ancient Curses, Found Footage, and One Very Bad Decision
This Saturday night, Ruang Tamu Ekosistem invites you to experience Incantation, a chilling horror film from Taiwan that blends internet-age storytelling with ancient beliefs you probably should not mess with.
Told through raw, found-footage-style clips, Incantation follows Ronan, a woman trying to protect her young daughter from a mysterious curse. What begins as a story about guilt and motherhood slowly becomes something far darker. A slow descent into ritual, trauma, and the kind of horror that creeps under your skin and stays there.
There are symbols. There are chants. There are rules you are not supposed to break... and she broke them. Now the consequences are coming fast, and Ronan's only hope is to share the curse... with you.
If you love horror with a psychological twist, cultural roots, and some seriously chilling surprises, don't miss this screening.
And no, we're not printing the incantation here. You'll have to hear it for yourself. 😁
Note: This film was released on streaming platforms and does not have a Malaysian film classification (age rating), as it was not shown in local cinemas. That said, maybe don't bring your six-year-old sister to this one.
