Live music above the city

The Kinabalu Sky Fest 2025 brings local music to the top of Toojou. Traditional and indie music plays with the skyline in the background. The sound is so close that you can feel it in your chest before your feet start moving.

Tompuvan will make a special appearance, blending tradition with a modern sound. Old rhythms carry new, grounded and fresh textures, perfect for a twilight where the city meets the night.

Con-Damn The Corruptor, Jagoans, Stand Instead and Neutelloo will be sharing the stage. These four bands are standouts from the local scene. Each offers its own unique vibe, and the rooftop makes it ring.

This is as much a community event as it is a music night. You stand shoulder to shoulder with friends and strangers alike. It's a reminder that culture flourishes when people come together.

Doors open at 4 pm. Come early if you want to enjoy the colorful late afternoon sky. Music goes on until late.

Spotlight on a Few Artists

Tompuvan

Tompuvan is a seven-piece band from Borneo that blends tradition with modernity. The voices of the Iban, Rungus, Sungai, Kagayan, Tidung, and Bajau peoples are carried by the sounds of the sape, kulintangan, sompoton, and bamboo flute. Add drums, a bass, an electric guitar, and a saxophone, along with the sound of rain sticks and gongs, and you get a bright, grounded groove made to move.
