Second chance to try woodcut printing

Missed the first Woodcut Weekend Workshop with Pangrok Sulap?
There is another weekend on 20 and 21 December at Ruang Tamu Ekosistem. It's the same three hour format, where you try the full process from carving the block to printing your own woodcut in a small group and a relaxed studio setting.

The workshop will guide you through the entire printmaking process, from designing a simple image to preparing your block and learning how to use carving tools safely. Finally, you will roll ink and experiment with different printing methods to create your own woodcut artwork, adopting Pangrok Sulap's artistic approach.

The atmosphere is practical and relaxed. Things get messy in the best way: wood shavings on the table, ink on your hands, and plenty of conversation while everyone works.

This workshop is suitable for:

• complete beginners who have never tried printmaking
• people who draw or paint and want to explore a different medium
• anyone curious about woodcut as a community art practice

No previous art training is necessary. Clear, step-by-step guidance is provided so you can follow along at your own pace.

Dates and times

• Saturday 20 December 2025
• Sunday 21 December 2025

Each day has two sessions:

• Morning: 10 am to 1 pm
• Afternoon: 2 pm to 5 pm

You can join the time slot that suits you. The format is designed for small groups, so you will receive enough guidance to feel confident, while still having space to explore your own ideas.
Places are limited, so booking is essential.

Price and booking

• RM60 per person for one session
• All tools and materials are included.
• Wear clothes that can handle a bit of ink.
