Ever tried turning a block of wood into a piece of art? Now is your chance.
Join us for a hands-on introduction to woodcut printmaking, a traditional and tactile art form where you carve, ink, and print your own unique designs.

What is it about?

You will learn how to carve an image into a wooden block, apply ink, and press your design onto paper or fabric. The result is bold and unique prints full of handmade charm.

Workshop Details

  • Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May 2025
  • Session 1: 10am to 1pm
  • Session 2: 2pm to 5pm
  • Studio Pangrok Sulap, Ruang Tamu Ekoaistem, Alamesra KK
  • RM60 per person (all materials provided)

No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity, a steady hand, and a willingness to get inky.
Come solo or with a friend. You will leave with new skills, fresh ideas, and prints to keep or share.

    Pangrok Sulap is a Malaysian collective of artists, musicians and social activists whose mission is to empower rural and marginalised communities through the arts. "Pangrok" is the local pronunciation of "punk rock" and "sulap" is a hut or resting place commonly used by farmers in Sabah, Borneo.

  • Ruang Tamu Ekosistem

    Ruang Tamu Ekosistem is an arts community centre run by various local collectives in Sabah. It is based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
