E-waste collection event

Dispose of your electronics responsibly

Christmas is done, the year is almost done, and suddenly every random cable in the house looks suspicious. If you have unwanted electronics taking up space, this is your sign to clear the drawer and recycle them the right way.

The Sabah Computer Society is organising an e-waste collection drive on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 December 2025 to make it easy to dispose of old electronic and electrical items responsibly. It is a simple step toward sustainability, and it keeps e-waste out of the wrong places by ensuring proper recycling.

In partnership with Legenda Bumimas Sdn Bhd, the event will also provide an opportunity to exchange used car batteries for cash. (Please refer to the attached poster for a list of accepted battery types and fees).

What to bring?

  • Old electronics (phones, computers, televisions, etc.)
  • Electrical appliances (fridges, fans, radios, etc.)
  • Car batteries (paid in cash by Legenda Bumimas Sdn Bhd)

Why participate?

  • Help reduce e-waste and protect the environment.
  • Ensure proper disposal of old electronic equipment.
  • Get cash for car batteries.

End the year with less clutter and a cleaner recycling habit.
