Beyond The Jungle, A Journey in Conservation
The talk will be held in English.
Tawau Through a Conservation Lens
Conservation can seem abstract until someone shows you what it looks like in practice.
In her presentation, Yulinda will share remarkable discoveries of flora and fauna from her conservation work in Tawau, offering real insights from field research and technical documentation using a DSLR camera trap. She will also explain how she is promoting Tawau as a destination for nature lovers through tourism initiatives that support conservation.
What makes her story even more interesting is how it began. Born and raised in Sabah, she had little connection to nature until she fell in love with wildlife and forests through hands-on field experience, the kind that changes you for good.
Guest Speaker
Yulinda Wahyuni is a senior conservation officer at 1StopBorneo Wildlife. She plays an active role in camera trap research, conservation tourism, environmental education and biodiversity documentation.
