Bridging cultures through music
On the 12th of November 2023, two Japanese bands, Wellness In Mouth Of Ditch and Kachiku graced the stage at the Live House in Kota Kinabalu (Glassfest Borneo Tour 2023).
While that concert and the upcoming Tokyo tour are independently organised, they symbolise the shared passion for music and cultural understanding between Japan and Sabah.
We can only rejoice in the growing interest and mutual respect for each other's artistic expressions.

Artist Line-up

Bolos Ru Bulur
Bolos Ru Bulur, a dynamic seven-piece band from Tenom (Sabah, Malaysia), has been making waves since their first public performance in 2015.
Playing mostly rock music using traditional instruments (Sundatang, Sape Borneo, Gendang and Kulintangan), they create a captivating sound that transcends genres.
The band has always pushed boundaries, from experimenting with post-rock styles to infusing their music with the musical heritage of the Murut, an indigenous ethnic group of Borneo.

BOIL (Beyond Our Imagined Lives)
BOIL started out as a group of friends bonded by a shared love of Nirvana. That influence is still part of their DNA and you can still hear it in the grit, the tension, and the dynamics, but they did not stay in tribute mode for long. Over time they have grown into a band with their own identity, shaping that inspiration into something original. Today, they write and play their own grunge songs, loud and sincere, with a sound that is unmistakably theirs.

Luther Emmanuel Patrick
Buckle up for a rollercoaster ride of fun, because we've got the dynamo of hosts.
This guy isn't just the drummer of Measmata, he's the ringmaster of hilarity and the maestro of chaos. On stage he's the human equivalent of a caffeinated fireworks display - exploding with energy, dancing like nobody's watching and jumping like a crazy kangaroo!
